We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Systems Engineer to help build a "cloud-first" infrastructure environment and guide a team of system engineers transitioning to AWS. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a greenfield project while mentoring proficient engineers with strong Azure experience as they develop AWS expertise. Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure Development: Design, build, and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency.
Team Enablement and Mentorship: Lead meaningful conversations and training sessions to onboard team members to AWS, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) principles.
Greenfield Project Leadership: Collaborate with the team to create standardizations, building blocks, and best practices for deploying and maintaining cloud-native systems.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues related to cloud networking, firewalls, and multi-cloud connectivity.
Infrastructure Automation: Use tools like Terraform and CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and manage cloud resources.
Code Development Support: Guide the team in deploying and managing AWS Lambda functions and transitioning from console-based to code-based infrastructure management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members to align on goals and project requirements, promoting a learning and growth mindset.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Experience:
6-8 years in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on AWS and Azure environments.
Strong expertise in AWS infrastructure building, including networking and multi-cloud integration.
Proficiency in Windows-based systems, with a foundational understanding of Linux.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform (preferred) and CloudFormation.
Hands-on experience with firewalls and cloud networking, particularly Palo Alto and Meraki.
Proven ability to lead migration efforts from Azure to AWS.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps.
Strong scripting skills, ideally with PowerShell.
