Responsible for all laboratory analytical data generated by QC lab to meet cGMP requirements, GDP practices and data integrity practices for raw materials, in-process samples and final products
Ensure Production Department receives timely and valid Final Product Quality data
Manages laboratory team members
Work closely with the Production Engineer, Production Manager & KPC Research & Development on plant and corporate related quality initiatives, projects, and solutions.
Gathers quality metrics regularly for use in plant production and trouble shooting
Investigates and determines root cause of Out of Specification and failure investigations and communicates to upper management.
Provide technical leadership and support to new commercialized manufactured products.
Develops capital equipment and operational laboratory budgets
Manages equipment service agreements.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or engineering; Advanced degree preferred
At least three years of experience in an Inorganic &/or Analytical chemistry laboratory environment; Experience with ISO Management systems preferred
Prior experience with ICP, HPLC, XRF and Particle Size Analysis/Characterization instrumentation
Must be able to troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
Familiarity with Statistical Process Control regarding laboratory analyses
Excellent planning, analytical and communications skills
Self-starter and problem solver
Organized and able to maintain good records
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
