Job Description:
The Smart Hands Technician is onsite in the customer datacenter and is responsible for racking and stacking equipment, patch cabling, decommissioning equipment, equipment swaps and disposal activities. In addition, they will support troubleshooting hardware issues with remote admins, facilities management, site security, vendor and customer escorts, inventory management and project engagement, as required.
1 - 2 years of experience with the following:
Hands-on experience in a datacenter and in network/communication rooms
Experience racking and stacking physical servers, network devices, appliances, installation of patch cables, and decommission equipment
Troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues and configure ilom using crash cart
Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, customer service and reliable team member
The resource will be required to participate in a bi-weekly on-call rotation
