Our client is hiring a key Linux resource to support the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS). With their current initiative to improve and modify their existing infrastructure - this person will have the opportunity to serve as a Linux SME in ensuring the health of critical systems supporting their day-to-day operations, which in turn will empower the agency to efficiently deliver essential resources and services to underserved communities across the country.
Requirements:
6+ years of hands-on Linux systems engineering experience including Red Hat Linux
4+ years' experience with Ansible automation and configuration
Extensive experience scripting with PowerShell
Experience in a Windows systems environment
Federal/Government agency project experience - must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance (investigative background check w/ fingerprinting)
Excellent customer facing communication skills - ability to gather requirements, maintain responsiveness to client needs, work across technical team members, etc.

RHEL certifications
Azure cloud experience
Responsibilities:
Systems Engineering, Administration, Management, Remediation, Compliance, Performance Monitoring/Tuning
24x7x365 infrastructure operations support serving in on-call rotation, Hybrid Environment (Azure and on-prem)
Working with Infrastructure/Hosting team for successful completion of all tasks within the Statement of Work for assigned area of responsibility within compute, server, backup operations
Review monitoring tools to identify trends and proactive identification of potential customer impacting events
Recommend changes to processes or procedures to improve efficiency or reduce costs in future projects.
