Position Summary:

As a Data Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading the team through process improvements to enhance the speed and accuracy of our data collection and analysis. Your efforts will ensure that our business relies on consistent, timely, and accurate data for quality reporting, planning, forecasting, and other data-driven business decisions. You will be the first point of contact for training data analysts on existing and improved processes, and you will be responsible for creating and updating training materials, including SOPs, MU courses, and presentations.

In this role, you will work with large data sets, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify best practices for developing better insights into current business processes. You will thoroughly understand our various reporting and data systems, making recommendations for improvements with a key focus on volume reporting reconciliation and call point management. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance on data collection and governance, mentoring a small team of data analysts.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop and improve standardized audits and information processes to promote data reporting accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with customer account managers and finance partners to meet identified business needs.
  • Establish positive working relationships with internal and external constituents.
  • Run periodic queries using appropriate reporting systems to create and distribute reports.
  • Review methodology, inputs, and compliance with policies and procedures to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Manage processes related to the validation of sales volume and other data elements from distributors, retailers, and various third parties.
  • Develop and maintain customer hierarchies for functions such as sales reporting and financial accruals.
  • Protect confidential information provided by outside sources and ensure it is not disseminated to unauthorized parties.
  • Create and distribute ad-hoc reports, standard reports, and dashboards based on detailed requirements.
  • Meet with constituents to understand needs, resolve issues, and offer creative solutions to complex business opportunities.
  • Participate in team meetings and make recommendations to improve processes.
  • Identify and mitigate business and technical issues, working with stakeholders on resolutions as needed.
  • Use large data sets to identify and resolve issues before they have an adverse effect.
  • Review and explain technical requirements to internal and external customers.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with bottlers and internal teams.
  • Identify, research, and communicate data-related issues to the necessary parties for proper resolution.
  • Support leadership with ad-hoc assignments.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in statistics, computer science, or business administration.
  • Proficient in macro development, data software, and programs (VBA and SQL).
  • 3+ years of in-depth analytical experience and use of reporting tools and large data sets.
  • 2+ years of experience in a team lead or Manager role.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets to arrange, manipulate, format, and prepare large amounts of information.
  • Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.), PowerBI.
  • Thorough understanding of Big Data Analytics and processes.
  • Strong leadership potential.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify issues within highly detailed data.
  • Conceptual thinking and ability to see patterns or trends in data.
  • Ability to respond to ad-hoc requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use and learn a variety of query and reporting tools.
  • Adaptable, able to handle unexpected challenges, coordinate across multiple individuals and teams, and appropriately prioritize department needs.
  • Proficient in business English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities.

Base Pay Range: $63,000 - $100,000 (+ Benefits)
