Our Challenge

As a LLM Engineer, Candidate will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritizing and resolving complex problems and escalating as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $120k - $130K/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:
  • Model Fine-tuning: Work with pre-trained large language models (LLMs) such as GPT and BERT, tailoring them to understand and process supply chain and contractual data.
  • Algorithm Development: Create algorithms for parsing and extracting information from unstructured documents (e.g., purchase orders, SLAs, legal agreements). Summarize key details from these documents to enhance data usability.
  • Model Optimization: Enhance model performance for speed and scalability, potentially using tools like ONNX (Open Neural Network Exchange) and TensorRT (NVIDIA's high-performance deep learning inference optimization toolkit).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with supply chain experts and other teams to ensure that the developed solutions align with business objectives and practical needs.

Requirements:

You are:
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, along with experience in ML libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, are essential for developing and optimizing models.
  • Experience with LLM Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, which is crucial for leveraging various pre-trained models and fine-tuning them.
  • Understanding of NLP: Deep knowledge of transformer architectures, tokenization processes, and embeddings is necessary for effective model training and implementation.
  • NLP Task Proficiency: Proven experience in performing NLP tasks such as entity recognition, summarization, and text classification will be vital for extracting meaningful insights from the contractual documents.

It would be great if you also had:
  • Experience in supply chain management or related fields is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data engineering practices and tools for handling large datasets.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying machine learning solutions.
  • Understanding of ethical considerations in AI and responsible AI practices.
