PRIMARY FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITY
The LCCA license child care Administrator.
Cultural Fit: Must be stern, must work well with children, must have patience.
Flexible/ Adaptable working schedule/ On call / weekends
8am-5pm Regular but must be flexible and be okay with On call working schedule
30-40 hours a week
Must be able to pass a background screening.
Responsibilities:
This Person is responsible for the overall administration, operation, and management of the program.
Sign on Bonus available for those who stay for at least 1 year
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Helps to provide the direction and supervision necessary for other personnel to accomplish their assigned duties
? Collaborates with the Executive Director, Chief Clinical Officer, Case Manager, Staff Supervisor, Direct Care Staff to ensure DFPS Minimum Standards and CBC standards are upheld.
? Provides daily supervision and on-site LCCA responsibilities as a professional level service provider per minimum standards §748.561.
A professional level service provider must perform the following functions:
o Completing an admission assessment or any other evaluation of a child for placement.
o Developing, reviewing, and updating of service plans for a child in care.
o Completing a discharge or transfer summary for a child.
o Approving any restrictions that will be imposed on a child for more than seven days that have not been reviewed and approved by the treatment director or service planning team, and any monthly re-evaluations of restrictions that continue for more than 30 days.
o Approving any restrictions to communication and visitation with the child's family that are imposed on a child, but have not been reviewed and approved by the treatment director or service planning team, including monthly re-evaluations of restrictions that continue for more than 30 days: and
o Approving any restrictions to a particular room or building for more than 24 hours that are imposed on a child but have not been reviewed and approved by the treatment director or service planning team.
? Responsible for or assists with assigning responsibility for:
o Ensuring that the operation complies with applicable licensing and contracting regulations, laws, and best practices, and reporting, to include trainings and other regulations related to serving victims of trafficking.
o Administering and managing the operation according to established program policies and procedures.
o Pre-service training for new staff and annual training of other staff.
o Overseeing staff as needed to ensure the supervision and the provision of childcare services meet the needs of children in care.
o Oversee the provision of planned but flexible program activities designed to meet the developmental needs of children.
o Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in care by reporting any issues of abuse or neglect suspected or witnessed.
o Ensuring an employee is available to handle emergencies.
o Assigning tasks to caregivers that do not conflict or interfere with caregiver responsibilities. o Ensuring that a child in care does not act as a caregiver.
o Ensuring persons whose behavior or health status presents a danger to children are not allowed at the operation.
o Performing other duties as required/assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Child-Care Administrator license (LCCA)
? Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
? Three years of full-time childcare experience in a residential childcare setting, to include two years of management/supervisory experience of staff and programs is required
? A graduate degree may be substituted for the required experience up to one year
