This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and quality of production batches and incoming raw materials through detailed testing and analysis. The Laboratory Technician will utilize a range of specified test methods to evaluate both in-spec and out-of-spec data, interpreting results to confirm product compliance with defined standards. This position demands a high level of independence in performing tasks, contributing to the lab's efficient operation while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and accurate testing of all required samples, ensuring results align with predefined specifications.
Demonstrate proficiency in executing detailed test methods and applying critical judgment in all tasks.
Employ Microsoft Excel and Office 365 for data analysis, leveraging skills in Statistical Process Control (SPC) to analyze test results.
Experience in cGLP (current Good Laboratory Practices) to ensure compliance and quality in all laboratory processes.
Independently manage the product retain area.
Identify and isolate non-conforming materials, effectively communicating any issues to prevent quality deviations.
Regularly verify and calibrate lab equipment, troubleshooting any deviations and reporting issues to the supervisor to maintain operational standards.
Support and contribute to the maintenance of ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems, ensuring laboratory practices meet international standards.
Manage laboratory inventory utilizing FIFO (First in, First out), ensuring supplies are adequately stocked and reordered in a timely manner.
Maintain exemplary lab housekeeping standards and ensure all test equipment is cleaned and maintained according to protocols.

Education and Experience:
A High School diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field is preferred.
0 - 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong emphasis on analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365, with a strong understanding of data manipulation and analysis techniques.
Familiarity with instrumentation troubleshooting and an aptitude for technical equipment maintenance.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including nights and overtime, to accommodate testing schedules and cover staffing gaps.
Physical Requirements:
Exposure to various chemicals and compounds; required to wear protective or safety equipment as necessary.
Capable of standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
Able to work in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment.
Must be physically able to bend, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
