Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Management Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical part in facilitating and managing various digital technology research and development projects from conception to completion. You will work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that projects adhere to defined timelines, scopes, and budgets. Your keen understanding of project management principles and methodologies will be essential in coordinating activities and driving the successful execution of research initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of team members and stakeholders or third-party vendors to deliver projects according to plan. You will be responsible for maintaining clear communication among all team members, monitoring project progress, and identifying any potential risks to ensure that objectives are met efficiently. Additionally, you will leverage your expertise to develop and implement best practices in project management while fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for various research initiatives.
  • Coordinate project activities among project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
  • Facilitate team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project charters, plans, and issue logs, ensuring all records are up to date.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project management best practices and tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experiences
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to take initiative, seek guidance when needed, and drive projects forward without waiting for instructions, while effectively communicating and collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic thinking and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Must be a self-starter with a proactive approach to work.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
