Job Summary:
LMH provides interns with an exciting work environment and opportunities for substantive, rewarding assignments in health policy. We believe collaboration, communication, attention to detail and creative thinking are paramount to success.
By supporting the organization's public and government affairs efforts and internal client support activities the intern position will be responsible for:
Tracking current legislation and amendments moving through the congressional process.
Attending congressional hearings/markups and other policy events.
Summarizing policy debates, hearings, markups and other policy events.
Monitoring statements from policymakers and experts.
Interns will have the opportunity to learn the legislative process and interact with clients and congressional staff.
Daily responsibilities will vary depending on the congressional calendar and the needs of the firm and our clients.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate efficiently and effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Established attention to detail.
Willing to take initiative.
Strong writing ability.
