We have an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Merchant to establish the strategic product direction for multiple brands within the Careismatic Brands, Inc. portfolio. The role will lead the cross-functional team by merchandising an optimal product assortment adhering to the brands' DNA, that our customers love, and achieving financial revenue and margin goals.

The team collaborates cross-functionally with sourcing, design, and planning teams to create dynamic, data-driven merchandising strategies that inspire confidence and elevate the Careismatic brand portfolio.
Reporting to the Director of Merchandising, the Senior Merchant plays a pivotal role in defining and executing the strategic product direction for multiple brands within Careismatic's portfolio. This position leads cross-functional teams in developing product assortments that resonate with customers while meeting financial revenue and margin goals. By leveraging consumer insights, market analysis, and competitive trends, the Senior Merchant ensures the delivery of a well-balanced, brand-centric product offering. This is a full-time hybrid role based in our corporate office in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Salary Range: $100k-$115k
What Your Day Looks Like
Develop and create the product strategy and assortment from pre-concept to retail for a selected brand within Careismatic's portfolio of brands
Create seasonal strategies that roll up to long-range financial plans tying back to top and bottom-line enterprise goals
Create and maintain seasonal assortment line plan for specific brand
Partner with Director of Merchandising to establish costing targets that support profitability objectives and partner with Sourcing and Design to actualize
Ensure the delivery of a well-balanced assortment that is both brand and customer centric
Consistently perform analysis of competitive set, identifying white space in the market
Use consumer insight data to guide business decisions
Partner with Director of Merchandising and Merchandise Planning team to assess risks and opportunities identified in financial recaps
Partner with Director of Merchandising and Demand Planning team to understand implications of sales trend and inventory ownership
Synergize efforts with Merchandising peers to achieve cohesion across brand portfolio
Analyze product selling and overall business trends in partnership with the Merchandise Planning team to summarize takeaways and action items
Demonstrate forward thinking and ability to read and react to in season business trends

7+ years of multi-channel experience in the apparel industry
Passionate about product and customer obsessed
Highly organized and uses a data driven strategic approach to merchandising
Collaborative, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills with the ability to present to supervisors and cross-functional team
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical skills
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with PLM systems preferred
BA or BS college related degree
