Job Description:

Qualus has multiple opportunities for Power Delivery Project Managers. This will be a challenging role in which you will often be involved in the entire scope of the project from initiation through close-out. Our Project Managers play an important role in the growth of our Project Management Services and are responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out of major electric transmission, distribution and substation projects. The successful candidate must have exceptional leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic project management leadership for multiple large transmission line projects simultaneously
  • Act on behalf of the owner, leading projects through all internal and external processes, and and entire project life cycle
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Accountable for key project decision-making
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships to foster a collaborative project team
  • Coordinate communication and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
  • Proactively manage project requests for information and action items
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work

  • Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of electric utility Project Management experience required
  • Direct Transmission Line project experience preferred
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Experience with SAP, Primavera, and Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
