Responsibilities
The Stewardship Coordinator is a full-time, non-exempt role reporting to the Chief Development Officer. This position is centered on managing donor data, maintaining accurate records, generating detailed reports and contact lists, and conducting constituent research to support the Development and Membership Team. By ensuring data integrity and providing insights through research and reporting, the Stewardship Coordinator plays a critical role in driving donor engagement and stewardship. The salary is $23.00 per hour ($47,840 annually).
Qualifications
Donor Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain donor records, gifts, pledges, and donor/prospect information in Blackbaud's Altru CRM.
Reconcile donor data and gifts with the Finance Team.
Generate routine and ad hoc data queries and reports to support team goals and donor engagement.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity for tracking donor interactions and outcomes.
Constituent Research and Briefings:
Conduct research on prospective and current donors to support fundraising initiatives.
Prepare detailed donor briefings for leadership and fundraising team members.
Identify donor trends and opportunities for engagement based on research insights.
Donor Stewardship and Engagement:
Support the coordination of donor acknowledgment processes, ensuring timely and thoughtful communication.
Support the creation and production of impact statements, thank-you letters, donor updates, and donor recognition gifts.
Assist with stewardship activities and follow-ups.
Event Support:
Maintain OneCause platforms for fundraising events, including but not limited to Splendor in the Garden Gala and Bubbles & Blooms Luncheon.
Support planning, logistics, and execution of fundraising events, member activities, and donor receptions.
Provide event-related administrative and logistical support, including mailings, scheduling, and event setup/breakdown.
Additional Duties
Exhibit a positive and professional attitude, fostering collaboration across Garden teams.
Represent the organization with professionalism and confidence.
Occasionally travel locally and perform other duties as assigned.
STATUS AND SCOPE
The Stewardship Coordinator is a critical member of the Development and Membership team, responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of donor data, supporting fundraising initiatives through analytical reporting, and conducting donor research. This role requires a keen commitment to precision, the ability to maintain established routines, and the flexibility to pivot as priorities shift. Solution-oriented and highly organized, the Stewardship Coordinator combines analytical skills with proactive problem-solving to support donor engagement, stewardship efforts, fundraising appeals and fundraising events, while fostering a collaborative and professional presence across the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years related experience in a non-profit setting.
Experience working with data and generating reports.
Proficiency in Blackbaud's Altru or similar CRM systems is highly desirable; willingness to learn is essential.
Experience with donor research and creating detailed briefings is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
Dedication to developing strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Professional presence and ability to engage with diverse community members.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with fundraising and donor stewardship practices.
