Our Client in the Charlotte, NC area is seeking a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a Hybrid role - you will be required to be in the office 2 days a week. The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for finance activities including, monthly P&L, SG&A, Balance Sheet and Cash flow reporting, variance reporting, cost allocation, monthly forecast process, interfacing with business leads to assist in explaining variance drivers, assisting in creating yearly budget, participating in various ad-hoc reporting as required, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reports focused on historical results, budgets, forecasts, and financial trends.
Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed
Produce monthly P&L and Balance Sheet variance reports with variance explanations
Create and maintain SG&A reports (OpEx) tracking headcount additions, overhead expenses and G&A spend
Support in preparation of monthly forecast, budget, as well as long-term planning model
Perform analysis and reports in support of finance, sales and marketing and operations
Prepare presentations using charts/graphs/tables for Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team
Utilize Business Intelligence system (Cognos) and Oracle ERP for various ongoing and ad-hoc reporting
Perform business plan case review for financial viability as needed
Maintain industry competitive landscape analysis using quarterly earnings and available industry resources
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or General Business.
2-4 years of finance experience, ideally in corporate finance or FP&A.
Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with senior executives.
Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently.
Expert with Microsoft Excel
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
Knowledge of SQL is a plus
Familiarity with Cognos is a plus
Knowledge of Great Plains/Oracle is a plus
