Our Client in the Charlotte, NC area is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a Hybrid role - you will be required to be in the office 2 days a week. You will be responsible for managing finance-related tasks, including monthly P&L reporting, variance analysis, cost allocation, and the monthly forecast process. This role requires close collaboration with Operations and Commercial teams to explain variance drivers and support the creation of the annual budget. The analyst will also assist with ad-hoc reporting and perform other finance-related duties as needed, ensuring all work adheres to safety, legal, and regulatory standards, as well as company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare management reports focused on historical results, budgets, forecasts, and financial trends.
Produce monthly P&L reports, providing detailed variance explanations.
Lead the development of quarterly forecasts and annual budget planning for business units.
Perform analysis to support finance, sales, and operations functions.
Prepare presentations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Utilize Business Intelligence tools for regular and ad-hoc reporting.
Conduct business case reviews to assess financial viability.
Maintain competitive landscape analysis using industry reports and earnings updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or General Business.
0-2 years of finance experience, ideally in corporate finance or FP&A.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of financial statements and reporting processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with executives.
Self-motivated, driven, and able to work independently.
Knowledge of SQL and Tableau is highly preferred
Familiarity with Cognos or Hyperion is a plus.
