Transactions Advisory Services - Senior Associate

(Remote - w/Limited Travel Involved within Los Angeles)

Rose, Snyder & Jacobs LLP is conducting an exclusive search on behalf of our client, a Boutique Transaction Advisory Services firm, seeking a Transaction Advisory Services Senior Associate with 3+ years of TAS or audit experience with a public accounting firm and at least one year of experience handing due diligence on transactions.

About You

You have a keen understanding of mergers and acquisition and all that it entails, representing clients on the buy-side, sell-side, mergers, and other projects. You are comfortable taking a deep dive into a company's financial and operating information, gathering and interpreting data with ease. You have a talent for financial analysis and modeling with a strong business acumen. You have an innate sense of professionalism and enjoy interacting with and advising clients. You can juggle multiple projects and manage and meet deadlines due to your fierce organizational skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide essential support to middle-market companies, primarily on sell-side engagements, delivering comprehensive financial due diligence services. You will be key in evaluating quality of earnings, cash flow analysis, working capital reviews, and identifying the core business drivers, working directly with senior team members, company leadership, and external advisors.
  1. Assist in financial due diligence primarily on sell-side transactions, helping identify potential risks, and assess financial performance.
  2. Conduct detailed analyses of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow, translating this data into actionable insights to effectively present the business.
  3. Actively engage in meetings and calls with management teams and clients, acting as a secondary point of contact to ensure smooth day-to-day project execution.
  4. Lead the creation of key deliverables, such as quality of earnings reports, working capital assessments, and debt-like items analysis, within data books, client-ready reports, presentations, and other critical materials.
  5. Collaborate closely with firm colleagues and clients, ensuring project objectives are met in a results-oriented and team-driven environment.
  6. Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all aspects of the role.
  7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, working to establish yourself as a trusted advisor in the transaction advisory space.
  8. Play a role in the ongoing growth of our consulting practice by contributing to business development, assisting in client presentations, and helping refine service offerings.


Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution or CPA eligibility; a licensed CPA is preferred.
  2. At least three (3) years of experience in audit or transaction advisory within a major public accounting or consulting firm, with at least one (1) year in financial due diligence for transactions.
  3. Strong expertise in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel, with proficiency in working with 3-statement financial models, cash flow forecasting, and scenario planning.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience interacting with senior team members, management, and external advisors (e.g., investment bankers, attorneys, etc.).
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large datasets with precision.
  6. Proven ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  7. Strong presence, empathy, and intellectual curiosity, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new challenges.
  8. Exceptional problem-solving skills and project management capabilities.
  9. Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  10. Capacity to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and quickly adapt to changing project demands.


Where You'll Work

Our office is fully remote, but you may be required from time-to-time to work from one of our clients' LA offices and attend quarterly in-person team meetings.
