Role Description
This is a full-time Commercial Lines Director role at Bethany Insurance Agency located in San Dimas, CA. The Commercial Lines Director will be responsible for analytical business planning, commercial lines business management, and team management. This role involves overseeing commercial insurance department operations.
The desired candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance, and the ability to drive departmental performance and client satisfaction.
This position pays uncapped commission, bonus, and profit share on top of the base pay.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Commercial Lines Department, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to team members.
Oversee the servicing and growth of a commercial lines book of business, ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
Ensure the department operates efficiently and complies with company policies and industry regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve departmental goals, including revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Address and resolve complex issues related to client accounts and departmental operations.
Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and optimal client experience.
Prepare and present regular reports on departmental performance, including financial metrics and client satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
Holds an active California Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License.
10+ years of relevant insurance industry experience preferred.
5+ years of experience in the commercial insurance industry.
Proven experience in managing a commercial lines team within the insurance industry.
Deep understanding of commercial lines insurance products, services, and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and retention, and driving business growth.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Above-average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.

Work Schedule:
- 100% onsite for the first 90 days, hybrid schedule after 90 days.
- Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
- Hybrid schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on site; Tuesdays & Fridays remote
