Job Description:
Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, components, and deployment options.
Proficiency in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) for creating complex search queries and reports.
Experience with Splunk data ingestion methods, including forwarders, HTTP Event Collector (HEC), and scripted inputs.
Experience implementing and optimizing Splunk data models
Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, operating systems, and security principles.
Proven experience as a Splunk Engineer with expertise in designing and managing large-scale Splunk environments.
Experience integrating Splunk with systems such as databases, cloud platforms, and financial applications.
Experience with Splunk engineering, administration, deployment, troubleshooting, onboarding data, and maintenance for a large-scale network environment
Experience with Splunk performing systems administration, including performing installation, configuration, monitoring system performance and availability, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Experience onboarding data into Splunk via forwarder, scripted inputs, TCP/UDP and modular inputs from a variety of sources.
Experience with Linux and Windows agents for Splunk administration with a solid understanding of the Splunk system
Hands-on experience in scripting languages with regular expressions to automate tasks and manipulate data
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system performance, log ingestion, and Splunk search efficiency.
Proficiency managing Splunk using the Splunk command-line interface and config files.
Proficiency developing log ingestion and aggregation strategies per Splunk best practices
Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with Splunk.
Expertise developing security-focused content for Splunk, including creation of complex threat detection log and operational dashboards
Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and developing security use cases for monitoring and incident detection.
