Overview:
The Indiana Department of Health (IN-IDOH) seeks a highly skilled Technical IT Project Manager to lead and manage high-complexity IT projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering innovative IT solutions, particularly in healthcare and cloud environments. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage high-complexity IT projects within the health department.
Oversee the complete project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, cloud architects, and DevOps engineers.
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget while managing risks, issues, and changes.
Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Coordinate with the helpdesk team to ensure seamless project implementation and ongoing support.
Implement and manage IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and projects.
Develop dashboards and reporting tools using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and department standards.
Lead and provide oversight to a team of approximately 12 individuals.
Manage large, budget-intensive projects and coordinate with internal and external partners.
Maintain alignment with PMO guidelines and processes.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, executives, and other audiences through regular updates and reports.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
10+ years of proven experience managing high-complexity projects and delivering successful outcomes.
Experience with dashboard tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields with significant IT experience.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Highly Desired Skills and Experience:
Expertise in Azure, AWS, MuleSoft, DevOps, and ITSM.
5+ years of experience working with solution architects and cloud architects.
Strong understanding of infrastructure and operational projects.
Experience managing healthcare-related IT projects.
Experience working with helpdesk systems and managing helpdesk teams.
