Bishop & Company is seeking a dynamic and driven Deputy Program Manager for our government contracting client.
This role is will support IT transformation projects at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. This role is essential to driving project success and ensuring alignment with client and organizational goals. The Deputy Program Manager will assist the Program Manager in coordinating project tasks, managing schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring quality standards.
The Deputy Program Manager is 100% on-site. Candidates must reside on Oahu by time of hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Program Manager in developing and executing project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Coordinate and oversee assigned tasks, ensuring they align with project requirements and deadlines.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and communicating updates to the Program Manager.
Identify potential project risks and contribute to the development of mitigation strategies.
Support quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
Assist in preparing performance reports, including tracking progress, budget updates, and risk assessments.
Work closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to facilitate effective communication and project delivery.
Apply knowledge of Network Operations (NetOps) and IT systems to support project success.
Assist in acquisition planning, budgeting, and other programmatic activities as directed by the Program Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline; OR 10 years of relevant experience in IT project management.
DoD contracting experience required, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT transformation projects, including task management, schedule development, and performance reporting.
Familiarity with Network Operations (NetOps) and related technology assessments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on stakeholder collaboration.
Active government-granted security clearance is required.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $145-$160,000 annually, commensurate with experience
