As a reflection of our current needs, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Real Estate and Construction team as a Director of Preconstruction.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of 3-4 people to assist with all tasks within the department
Manage the entire construction drawing process from the beginning to completion of the project. Includes managing the permitting process for all new projects
Review and approve building drawings, site plans and build elevations for shell buildings.
Full design of the interior floor plans for all Dental office projects.
Coordinate with architects and engineers to complete a full set of interior drawings for permit/construction.
Drawing review and markup of the building and interior drawings
Work closely with the construction manager to prepare bid packages and manage drawings for multiple projects at one time.
Assisting Project teams in design decisions and development of solutions.
Building and maintaining relationships with architects and engineers
Preparing and submitting contract documents to the Construction Manager for Bidding
Manage all national contract vendors such as Millwork, lighting and floor vendors, which includes coordination of all ordering, delivery and installation of all products.
Manage entire building signage program for all projects which includes design and all installation coordination for new projects along with any and all rebranding projects.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related discipline
Architecture background is a plus, but not necessary
Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and ability to satisfy deadlines
Strong comprehension in construction drawings and process
2-5 years' minimum of AutoCAD experience is preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects & tasks concurrently
Flexibility for potential travel required
Annual Pay Range: $125-145k, plus bonus opportunity
