Job Description:

Jaguar Jewelry Casting NY is a well-established casting and jewelry production company based in the heart of NYC's jewelry district. Our clientele encompasses high-end jewelry houses and household names.

We are seeking a skilled and professional CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for building CADs for production from A-Z. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of jewelry principles, excellent technical skills, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Design: Create accurate and detailed technical files using Matrix and Rhino based on project specifications and requirements as outlined by our clients. Ensure that all CADs/designs are viable to print and meet quality standards relevant to the industry.
  • Revision and Modification: Review files and communicate/make necessary revisions based on feedback, changes in project scope, or design requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of files, revisions, and project documentation to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate technical information and design concepts to team members and clients.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve design issues or discrepancies that may arise during the design process.
  • Deadline Management: Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience working as a CAD Designer/Technician or similar role in jewelry manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Must be computer savvy and knowledgeable in Matrix and Rhino to generate production viable 3D models with precision and adherence to industry standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and designs.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively and professionally collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to project outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Familiarity with relevant industry standards related to manufacturing of jewelry.
