Take your career to the next level with us! R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (R.M. Chin) is seeking a dedicated Office Engineer to join our Transportation Groups Construction Management Department. This role will involve both technical & administrative support to the Resident Engineer, client, and other staff members on the project.
Job Duties:
Maintaining as-builts as work is completed.
Maintaining organized and detailed project records.
Obtaining permits, badges, and access requests in advance.
Tracking and assisting with preparing change orders.
Process project paperwork such as IDRs and diary records into client web-based project software.
Logging RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
Process pay estimates, weekly reports, timesheets, and vehicle logs.
Interfacing with clients, other consultants, and contractors.
Filing project paperwork both electronically, and hard copy format.
Preparing job boxes for project closeout and auditing.
Ensure project documentation is up to date and facilitates audits with client auditors.
Timely processing of project paperwork such as daily diary entries, bi-weekly pay estimates, entry of contractor quantities, and submittal of various reports to contractors.
Possible field inspection duties.
Reviewing and checking IDRs and daily reports for completeness and accuracy.
Assisting other team members along with consultant personal in the preparation and processing of a large volume of correspondence and construction documents.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering (Civil, Design, or Construction)
3-5 years' experience in construction / transportation services or equivalent.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in an efficient manner.
Proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office, e-Builder, and CMMS.
Documentation of Contract Quantities certificate, or ability to achieve in 6 months.
Ability to follow logic and perform basic math calculations.
Benefits:
Competitive base salary between $80 - 115K, depending on project assignment, experience, skills, and location.
