Position Summary:

The Procurement and Estimating Specialist is a critical role within our operations team, responsible for managing vendor relationships, securing cost-effective materials, and creating accurate and timely cost estimates for print and fulfillment projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments to support our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials while minimizing costs.
• Stay informed of market trends and material cost fluctuations to optimize purchasing strategies.
• Coordinate with the production team to ensure materials meet project specifications and timelines.

Estimating:
• Analyze customer requirements and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for print and fulfillment projects.
• Collaborate with sales, production, and client service teams to ensure estimates align with client expectations and operational capabilities.
• Utilize estimating software to streamline calculations and maintain consistency in pricing.
• Review historical data to improve accuracy and efficiency in future estimating processes.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders to address questions and adjustments related to estimates.

Cross-Functional Support:
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to ensure pricing strategies are competitive and aligned with company goals.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to procurement and estimating workflows.
• Provide regular reporting on procurement and estimating performance, including cost-saving opportunities and process efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or a related role in a manufacturing industry.

Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in procurement and estimating software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
