Job Description:
Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely compensation for 5 locations. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and providing exceptional service to the workforce.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Oversee and manage the payroll process for multiple sites, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
* Analyze payroll data and prepare reports for management review.
* Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
* Conduct account reconciliation to ensure all payroll-related accounts are balanced.
* Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution, ensuring compliance across all locations.
* Conduct regular audits of payroll processes and records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
* Collaborate with the human resources department to address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
* Maintain payroll software, ensuring it is updated and configured for each site"s specific requirements.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
* Stay updated on financial concepts and regulatory changes impacting payroll practices.
* Train and mentor payroll staff to foster a high-performance team environment.
* Occasional travel to job sites as required.
* May require extended hours during peak payroll cycles, year-end close, etc.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor"s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred
* Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems (UKG PRO)
* 10+ years experience in payroll within a manufacturing environment
* Professional certification in payroll (e, g., CPP, FPC) is a plus
* Strong background in payroll management, accounting, and human resources
Skills and Knowledge:
* Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
* Proficiency in processing payroll accurately and efficiently.

* Strong ability to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
* Problem-Solving Skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex)
* In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance requirements.
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles as they relate to payroll processing and financial reporting.
* Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
