POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist/Office Administrator is responsible for providing daily support and interaction for employees and managers, assisting with employee questions, and delivering overall employee relations support for all employees. This role aligns people and policies with company goals, collaborates with managers on employee development plans, and facilitates discussions for the successful resolution to conflicts. This position works with internal business partners to help create a consistent and exceptional employee experience. Last, but certainly not least, this position will be an active lead in assuring the positive working culture of Wurth IT is felt throughout the location. oversee the day-to-day functioning of the office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Responsibilities

Support the recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.

Manages personnel files for new hires, transfers, and separations and maintains Human Resource Information System records.

Assists in employee termination process including preparation of termination information, updating HRIS and relevant spread sheets, and conducting exit interviews.

Performs benefits administration to include timely processing of enrollments/changes, claims resolution, coordinating COBRA, benefit billing and conducting open enrollment.

Manage Workers' Compensation claims, including filing claims, record keeping, managing restrictions, and partnering with insurance company or state agencies.

Manages companywide communications by announcing personnel and company changes.

Maintains knowledge of and assists in the compliance of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO.

Respond to Employment Verification queries, as needed.

Support and promote employee engagement and wellness initiatives.

Wurth IT USA Culture Ambassador Responsibilities
  • Establish, implement, and monitor office policies and procedures to maintain order and efficiency.
  • Coordinate team building activities
  • Serve as main point of contact for people visiting US Office Locations. (Assist with booking travel, coordinate local reservations, booking conference rooms, etc)
  • Oversee office environment to ensure resources are available when needed. (Office supplies, working with building maintenance, etc)
  • Partner with leadership on evolving corporate culture as we continue to grow.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of general human resources experience.
  • Experience working with UKG/HRIS systems preferred.

Efficient knowledge of employment/labor laws.

Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation.

High degree of professionalism, teamwork, integrity, leadership, and confidentiality.

Good reasoning and analytical abilities. Sound judgment.

Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent people skills.

Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
