Johnson Law Group, a fast paced, high-volume plaintiffs' law firm headquartered in Houston, Texas, is seeking an Attorney to join our legal team in Cleveland as we expand our footprint into Ohio.
We seek an energetic and driven Personal Injury Attorney for our growing Auto Accident Personal Injury Division. This role requires previous experience in handling auto accident cases in volume. The ideal candidate should have experience leading a team of personal injury department members. Candidates must also thrive under pressure, have the ability to multi-task, and be self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate
Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation
Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system
Manage a team including paralegals and legal assistants
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) and Ohio state bar membership required
7 - 12 years of experience practicing law
Candidate must have Auto Accident Personal Injury experience

Strong client-facing experience in any field; ability to communicate clearly with our clients is a must
Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple clients, projects and deadlines
Preferential consideration for mediation experience
Superior organization skills with great follow through
Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
