A Day in the Life of the Furniture Project Manager

As the Interior Designer Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving sales and business development while collaborating with the design team to create innovative solutions for clients' furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) needs. Your expertise in both interior design and sales will be critical in building and nurturing relationships with clients, guiding them through the design process, and closing deals.

Responsibilities include:
  • Engage in business development to establish new client relationships and maintain existing ones
  • Lead client meetings to understand their FF&E needs and present design solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop design schemes and strategies for furniture projects
  • Stay current with market and design trends, applying this knowledge to your work
  • Facilitate the sales process and effectively close deals to meet business development goals
  • Maintain proficiency with industry-specific software (CET, 2020, InDesign, AutoCAD)
  • Ensure outstanding space planning and furniture specifications are met
  • Consistently meet quotas for business development activities and sales

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of relevant experience in interior design or sales
  • Strong knowledge of the contract furniture market
  • Expertise in space planning, furniture specification, and FF&E design
  • Proficiency with CET, 2020, InDesign, and AutoCAD software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Sales-driven with the ability to close deals and meet targets
