We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Procurement Professional with a strong background in sourcing and managing supplier relationships for reagents and instruments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of negotiating contracts, optimizing procurement processes, and building strategic partnerships with suppliers. This role requires a deep understanding of the scientific landscape, market trends, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally within the organization. Responsibilities: Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic relationships with reagent and instrument suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as necessary. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate for pricing, terms, and conditions to achieve cost savings and value enhancement while maintaining quality standards. Draft and manage contracts to ensure compliance with organizational policies. Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and product innovations. Analyze data to inform sourcing strategies. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance. Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with project requirements. Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and forecasting for reagent and instrument procurement. Monitor expenditures and implement cost control measures to stay within budget. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including R&D and Operations to understand their needs and ensure timely procurement of materials and instruments. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure continuity of supply and compliance with regulatory requirements. Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports and insights on procurement activities, supplier performance, and market trends to senior management. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus. Minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement. Ideally with a focus on reagents and instruments in the [biotechnology/pharmaceutical/healthcare] industry. Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and relationship building. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the procurement of scientific materials. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
