Description:
Responsible for attending classroom training, completing environmental fieldwork (planting and pruning trees, debris and litter removal, and basic landscape maintenance) as it relates to keeping stormwater from polluting waterways within the City of Peoria, and other community-based service projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must commit to a 40-hour work schedule and be able to perform physical labor for extended periods. An ideal candidate will have interest in serving the community and learning about environmental issues related to landscape horticulture and other forms of green infrastructure. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidate should have knowledge of and demonstrate appreciation for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
