Credence and its partner, the Public Health Institute (PHI), are both employers for GHTASC, and are seeking a Senior Micronutrients Advisor under GHTASC. This position will be hired under Public Health Institute (PHI).

The Office of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) Nutrition and Environmental Health (NEH) Division seeks a Senior Micronutrients Advisor to provide expertise in public health nutrition toward achieving the overall objectives of USAID. This expertise would specifically be in designing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating integrated nutrition programs, with a focus on interventions that address micronutrient deficiencies in women and children, analysis and interpretation of nutritional indicators, and nutrition surveillance and epidemiology. Other areas of engagement may also include supply chain management for nutrition, and private sector roles in support of nutrition programs.
Position Summary:
The Senior Micronutrients Advisor will primarily support the Office of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) Nutrition and Environmental Health (NEH) Division as a PHI Institutional Support Contractor (ISC). In this role, the selected candidate will contribute significantly to the implementation of USAID’s strategies, policies, and programming as they relate to maternal and child nutrition. The Senior Micronutrients Advisor will be responsible for technical management and guidance to centrally funded projects and will provide USAID technical leadership to various activities related to the prevention and treatment of malnutrition, nutritional anemia, and other micronutrient deficiencies. In particular, the Senior Micronutrients Advisor will support the development of policy and programmatic guidance and technical recommendations related to addressing micronutrient deficiencies in low- and middle-income countries, with the goal of strengthening routine primary health care systems to address maternal and child malnutrition. As part of these efforts, the Senior Micronutrients Advisor will provide direct technical assistance and support on multi-sectoral nutrition to USAID Missions.
This position will provide technical leadership in nutrition within the Agency Nutrition Technical Working Group and in close coordination with colleagues in the Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance and the Bureau for Resilience, Environment, and Food Security. The Senior Micronutrients Advisor will provide technical support for the implementation of the USAID Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy, MCHN Technical Roadmap, Preventing Child and Maternal Deaths (PCMD) Framework, the U.S. Government Global Nutrition Coordination Plan 2.0, and the Global Food Security Strategy 2.0.
Full salary range for this position is $137,280 to $206,960, with the starting salary determined based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, as well as budget availability.
