Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum one year of experience in a lead production role.
In-depth knowledge of pallet repair processes, tools, and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex repair issues.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in repair documentation and inventory management software.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to pallet repair and warehouse operations.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and supervise a team of pallet repair technicians, ensuring all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and tools to perform their tasks efficiently.
Distribute daily repair tasks among the team based on skill level, priority, and workload, ensuring that deadlines are met.
Inspect repaired pallets and equipment to ensure all work meets company quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments as required.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex repair issues, providing technical guidance and support to team members.
Accurately document all repair activities, including quality of repair, time taken, materials used, and any issues encountered, ensuring records are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw material to repair pallets, ensure continuous availability of necessary supplies.
Enforce and monitor adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines within the repair area, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any hazards immediately.
Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and to address any repair-related needs or concerns.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the repair department, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall quality.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for pallet builders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill enhancement within the team.
