SUMMARY
The Practice Administrator will be responsible for daily operations and strategic advancement of the multiple medical sites and/or specialties. Oversight of multiple medical group practice financial management, business and clinical operations of the practices. Specific areas of responsibility (in collaboration with health system leadership) include budgeting, material procurement, coding, billing, accounts receivable/compliance management, accounting, marketing, development, human resources, operations/planning, patient flow processes, information systems, communications, and facilities. The position requires a close working relationship with the entire clinical and administrative staff in meeting the daily operational and strategic objectives. ATTRIBUTES
1 years relevant work experience within practice setting.
2 years administrative leadership experience or combination of education and experience may be considered.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
Demonstrated communications and analytical skills required - including, but not limited to, professional billing experience, proficiency in MicroSoft Excel, financial management, personnel management, team building, and appropriate interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations and Management. Oversight over the operations of practices and supervision of subordinate practice managers. Responsible to provide support to operations management related to providers. Developing educational planning programs, allocating and assigning duties to employees, and monitoring the activities and operations of all the practice(s) components to ensure the practice(s) meets its objectives. Has responsibility to provide support and leadership for due diligence regarding acquisitions and divestitures. Responsible for all practice sites within a designated area. The number of sites, subordinate practice managers and physicians may vary depending on geographic location and practice size.The Practice Administrator's responsibilities take into consideration a comprehensive and complex mix of multiple provider support, significant FTE, revenue and operating budget management. Responsibilities may include directional service line oversight as defined, and include involvement in market development and growth.
Administrative. Responsible for oversight of daily operations and financial control of assigned site. Organizes and directs daily operations at site. In cooperation with Human Resources, participates in the recruitment, hiring, coaching, mentoring and termination of non-physician staff. Oversees the work and evaluates the performance of staff including physician input. Establishes office staffing patterns and delineation of job responsibilities. Review and approve time sheets and other payroll materials. Implements and maintains developed systems to procure and maintain adequate levels of supplies and other resources required for smooth functioning of the office. Recommends and justifies capital purchases. Encourages and initiates orientation, continuing education and job development programs for non-physician staff to improve office operation. In collaboration with the health system and/or landlord, oversees facility management of assigned practice. Prepares annual management action plans and provides updates on the same. Implement and plans short and long term goals, objectives and plans policies in relation to RGMG Service initiatives. Continually develops and fosters effective team member communication in order to establish productive relationships between all clinical and non clinical team members and other members of the community. Ensures the collection and compilation of quality assurance and clinical data for use by management in decision-making.
Financial. Oversees reports and manages financial and statistical performance of assigned practice to RGMG management in a timely manner. Ensures completion of required reporting to RGMG management. Supervises all activities related to charge entry, edit corrections, patient registration on the front end and over the counter corrections. In collaboration with Medical Groups Business Office, ensures timely daily deposits and financial tracking. Continuously reviews all factors affecting the operating cost of the practice. Takes necessary action to keep cost in line with budget. Participates in development of annual budget.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $65,000.00 - $101,852.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
