Description: Local manufacturer is seeking Industrial Electricians that are responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, a high level of safety awareness, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including:
Motors, starters, and controls
Transformers
Wiring and conduit
Lighting systems
PLC systems (Programmable Logic Controllers)
Instrumentation and control systems
Power distribution systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment malfunctions quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
Diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment (multimeter, megger, etc.).
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on electrical equipment.
Follow all safety procedures and regulations (NFPA 70E).
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of electrical principles and National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (preferred).
Experience with AC/DC drives, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
