JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is in support of the Grain Valley Missouri manufacturing plant. This is not a remote or hybrid position. The Quality Leader is responsible for managing and directing the activities involved in the Quality Assurance Process & overall procedures employed in production/manufacturing/repair. The involved responsibilities & activities include working & interacting with Supplier Quality Team, Industrialization, Program and Project Engineers. The Quality Site Leader drives the plant awareness & activities necessary to accomplish the Company’s Quality Assurance Metrics & Goals (i.e. Customer Complaints, Process Defects, Scrap, among others).

Essential Functions:

• Manage daily operation quality issues & related activities.

• Formulation and implementation standards to achieve quality objectives and resolution of product.

• Maintain Quality Processes

• Manage Customer Complaint and Resolution system for the facility.

• Control Scrap, Customer Delivered Quality (CDQ), Cost of poor quality (COPQ) & Defects per million opportunities (DPMO). Drive plant Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Communicate and support activities and procedures with team members.

• Lead Actions for Top Quality Issues.

• Support Product Safety initiatives at the Plant.

• Protects the customer, has the authority to stop the production and/or shipment in case the quality of the product is compromised, to request the help needed to solve the problem

• Ensure customer requirements are met

• Knows and communicates the need for product safety.

• Reinforce “right to stop” production line, when he/she notices that the product has a quality problem or defect.

• Perform all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Knowledge:

• ISO 9001-2015

• Understanding of circuit board and light-electronics manufacturing

• Quality Management Systems

• 8D and QRQC processes

• Repair and Return Material Authorization

• Special Process or Program Auditing

• Configuration Management

• SAP, PLM, Configuration Management systems

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing supervisory role/responsibility

• Minimum 2 years in a Quality role

Skills:

• Strong communication skills both oral and written

• Investigative resulting in true root cause

• Team building resolving conflict

Education/Certifications:

• Technical Degree or equivalent experience may be accepted

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Work, & PowerPoint

• Ability to qualify IPC 610, 620 as needed
