Responsibilities:
This individual will be performing sales, customer support and leadership functions in an effective and efficient manner. Responsibilities include:

Provides fast, friendly service and actively engages customers, offering a friendly greeting and smile and making eye contact
Discusses available options with customers, asking questions to determine needs and showing interest in the customer
Gains and maintains knowledge about all products in order to describe the features and benefits, answer questions, and suggest related items
Remains calm during periods of high volume and provides excellent service to all customers
Interacts with commercial customers in a way that fosters a stronger business relationship
Maintains a neat and clean appearance and follows company dress code policy at all times
Exhibits a commitment to punctual and regular attendance for all assigned shifts
Ensures strong presentation of retail sales floor
Installs all types of batteries for customers, such as car batteries, watch and key fob, etc.
Build battery packs, test, analyze and diagnose battery problems
Excels at building a strong team environment
Performs managerial/supervisory activities when Store Manager is out of the store or by assignment, to include the following:
Ensures store is opened and closed in a timely manner.
Prepares daily and other periodic reports and reconciliations such as deposits, cash recaps, inventory, etc.
Oversees and coordinates placing orders
Monitors inventory levels, oversees and coordinates delivery and receipt of products
Monitors and ensures observance of safety rules and safe work habits
Orients, direct, trains and retains staff capable of meeting current and projected human resource needs
Makes recommendations in various personnel matters such as pay, performance reviews, and terminations
Management of Store Associate
Participates in cleaning activities such as floors, windows, displays, parking lot, etc.
Understands and follows all operational policies and procedures relating to cash handling, safety and security, and other store related matters
Drives sound inventory management practices
Makes strong contribution to store A/R Management process
Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
May be required to pick up/deliver products in the local area
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have exceptional customer service aptitude, and excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
Must be able to interact and communicate professionally with commercial customers
Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance
Strength in contributing to a positive team environment
Demonstrated managerial/supervisory skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Highly professional and dependable
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years' experience in retail store operations
Math and bookkeeping skills acquired through high school or trade education and/or experience
Knowledge of and experience installing batteries is a plus but not required
Ability to acquire technical skills needed for rebuilding battery packs or repairing electronic devices
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, stoop, climb, kneel, and lift and carry up to 65 pounds repetitively
Must be willing and able to be exposed to dirt and dust, fumes, temperature extremes, dampness, and battery acid on a regular basis
Valid Texas driver's license is required.
