Job Description:

With a small company comes greater responsibilities. Hays is working with a phenomenal civil contractor in the New York City Area who is looking to add a Project Manager to their growing company. They are looking for someone to come in and make a big impact on their operation and be a pillar of a growing company. They have competitive compensation and work on a wide variety of projects. Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.


• Schedule deliverables, estimate costs, and manage project finances.


• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists.


• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.


• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.


• Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory.


• Review the work progress on a daily basis.


• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.


• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.


• Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.


• Proven experience as a project manager in civil construction projects.


• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.


• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.


• Good knowledge of MS Office and project management software.


• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.


• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.


• A team player with leadership abilities.
