The incumbent Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for providing systems analysis support for technology-enabled solutions serving internal business units. The BSA will work closely with business leaders and users, subject matter experts, project managers and IT professionals. The BSA will elicit requirements and provide clear, concise documentation, analyze systems, analyze data, troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis, and contribute to systems-related business process design and improvement.
Please note that while SFHP supports a hybrid work environment. this role will be required to be onsite and in-office a minimum of 4 days per month.
Salary: $88,775 - $103,135
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Work in a team environment
Work directly with business partners, project managers, all levels of management, technical staff, architects, and vendors to analyze Business Requirements/Need and create clear and concise Functional Specifications (supporting workflows, data analysis, etc.) according to best practices
Lead requirements elicitation and apply a combination of business and technical knowledge to solve business problems with cost-effective technical solutions
Intimate knowledge of application functionality, interfaces, screens
Use creative problem-solving skills to remove barriers and effective communication skills to keep all parties informed of status
Work with end-users to develop and execute test plans to verify business systems and processes work as expected
Follow SFHP's Change Management/Release Management Policies and Procedures such as submitting appropriate change requests
Develop and recommend operational processes and /or process improvements
Advocate for business users across the organization and support the business with prioritizing their requests
Support production system incidents; troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis
Partner with Senior Business Systems Analyst on more complex efforts
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
A degree from a four-year college (e. g., BS) or equivalent work experience
Prior experience at a healthcare organization, particularly at a managed health plan
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Analyst or comparable position in a healthcare environment
1 or more years of experience with relational databases and writing SQL queries
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Visio or comparable business process design software
Familiarity in managing requirements, test suites in Azure DevOps is helpful
Familiarity with HIPAA healthcare EDI transactions and file formats
MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Scrum Master Certification is helpful
