We are seeking a talented and highly motivated candidate that will provide extensive knowledge and experience in design and support services for our collaborative workspaces as they relate to today’s changing technology landscape. Candidate will specialize in audio and video hardware, software, networking, and integration. You will design, develop, program, test, debug, document, administer and support AV hardware, software, and systems and their dependents. Candidate will be able to support activities throughout the lifecycle of AV systems: defining requirements, designing solutions, procuring equipment, creating system programming, operating systems in support of the end user, and advanced troubleshooting of any system failures. The candidate will be responsible for developing standards, processes, and procedures to ensure security, scalability, and reliability of collaborative technology.
Description:
Provide specifications and detailed schematics for AV system hardware, software, and network architecture
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with project managers, DoD personnel, IT managers and fellow engineers in the planning, design, development, of new UC & AV systems
Provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Help determine AV system user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems and meet users' requirements
Prepare operating instructions, create system drawings in AutoCAD and/or Microsoft Visio, and maintain AV standards
Conduct testing and preventative maintenance of AV systems
Administer centralized remote monitoring and complete ongoing maintenance of AV systems
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of AV systems network, hardware, and software interconnection and interfacing, such as codecs, audio video switchers, AV control systems, AV devices (monitors, microphones, cameras, mixers, amplifiers, etc.), VTC gateways, VTC bridges, video streamers, etc.
Communicate directly with leadership clearly and concisely both written and verbally
Develop System Design Packages (SDPs)
Work with adjoining engineering disciplines, leads and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate to design
Draft Course of Action (CoA) briefs, technical point papers and other artifacts for high-level decision makers as required
Author Pre-Installation Check Out, System Operational Verification Testing and user training documentation
Schedule and conduct design reviews and testing activities
Actively and consistently support all efforts to quickly mitigate issues and restore services
Correct equipment and service degradations as elevated by customer
Ensure configuration settings are maintained for participants to ensure quality meets industry standards
Ensure as-designed and as-build documentation are provided in a timely manner
Consolidate and present progress and performance metrics information for ongoing projects
Assist in creation of project schedules, deliverables, and budgets
Maintain a control program and configuration files database for all conference rooms and AV systems throughout the enterprise
Train staff in the operation of equipment and other equipment associated with AV services
Requirements:
Knowledge of video technology and experience working with a variety of audiovisual equipment
Knowledge and skills with use of AutoCAD drafting tool
Ability to develop diagrams & improve design accuracy via AutoCAD
Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex problems
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels
Demonstrated AV design experience in DoD, JITC, and/or ITAR compliant settings
Demonstrate knowledge of industry best practices in audio, video and control systems design/integration for conference rooms, operation centers, watch floors, training rooms, and VIP offices
Knowledge in Cisco Unified Communications Systems, CUCM Cisco Unified Communication Manager - Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Voice DR, VoIP, Voice Engineering, Video Conferencing and Collaborative Tools, integrating video into Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Prime Collaboration Cisco Voice and Video Collaboration Systems, Cisco Voice Cluster, Cisco Voice DR
Experience with Cisco Data Networking switching and routing but expertise in Voice, VoIP, and VTC
Experience with Think Logical, Crestron and Extron AV matrix routing and signal extension solutions
Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training/work experience
Must possess a current TS//SCI clearance
Preferred:
Crestron CMCP, DMC-E, NVX-N, MTA-C Certifications
AVIXA CTS Certification
Experience with ServiceNow
Military and/or government experience a plus
Locations: This position will be expected to perform duties at any customer facilities within Colorado Springs.
Rate: $120K-$140K
