Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Integrator to join our Project Integration Team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in System Administration and Cable/Infrastructure to effectively support our customers across various facilities in the Colorado Springs area during project implementation. This team is responsible for deploying a range of IT assets for the command, including workstations, servers, AV and VTC collaboration systems, Mission Systems, networks and other IT related items as directed. Additionally, the team is responsible for conducting quality assurance and quality control checks on IT installations performed by others. An active TS/SCI clearance is required, and all work will be performed on-site.
Responsibilities:
Act as a member of the Project Integration Team, overseeing project integration responsibilities.
Perform preventative maintenance which includes but is not limited to the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patches
Serves as On-Site computer maintenance technician
Assist Cyber Team with Incident Response procedures
Provide Tier 1/2 support for customer tickets in our trouble ticketing system and inbound phone calls to our support line
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on new customer deployments
Assist in inventory management as directed
Installation of customer equipment at designated USSPACECOM facilities
Provision/image new systems/ deployed new systems
Assist/support AV/VTC Technicians with set up and troubleshooting of AV equipment
Perform administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
Other IT duties as assigned in support of work completion or project implementation. When not actively working on integration project members will assist CSD help desk and perform System Administrator duties. Perform cable moves, adds, installs, and changes, and update documentation to reflect the location of current and future network cabling.
Test newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established procedures and standards
Terminate and install fiber-optic cable with LC, SC or ST connectors (utilizing Uni-Cam or hot melt method), CAT6, RGB & coax cables.
Remove unused and/or abandoned network cabling and equipment
Use basic cable installation hand tools, fiber termination equipment, wire strippers, punch down tools and fiber optic test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret floorplans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets provided by engineers
Assist the infrastructure engineer in the design of cable plans, installation layouts, and other engineering artifacts
Perform preventative maintenance, which includes but is not limited to the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patches
Troubleshoot, fix and document corrective actions within source ticketing system.
Support customer problem resolution, trouble calls, and maintenance requests, track communication system outages, and repair actions until the issue is resolved
Perform IT system maintenance tasks to support the following existing and future government networks: NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and all other IT initiatives as determined by the government and coordinated through the COR.
Develop reliability system upgrades for government personnel review
Requirements:
Must possess a current TS/SCI
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and/or 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Managing Windows, Linux, or Mac systems
Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
Troubleshooting and providing technical support to employees
Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
Performing regular security tests and security monitoring
Maintaining networks and network file systems
Experience installing, dressing, labeling, terminating and testing CAT5/CAT6 and fiber infrastructure cabling and connectors
Ability to distinguish TIA/EIA color codes.
Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace
Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military and contractor personnel at all levels
Ability to lift 50 lbs., work on a ladder, pick up and carry boxes of cable
Can Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security)
Foundational knowledge of end-user IT equipment

Desired:
One to three years of experience with customer-focused IT Help Desk
VTC experience (Integration or Sustainment
Military and/or government experience a plus
Experience with ServiceNow
Possess industry recognized OS/Technology certifications: Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Junpier
Possess industry recognized fiber-optic certification: Fiber Optic Association (FOA), Certified Premises Cabling Technician (CPCT) certification (preferred), FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT), Electronic Technicians Association (ETA) Fiber Optics Designer (FOD), ETA Fiber Optics Installer (FOI), ETA Fiber Optics Technician (FOT), or Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer2, Fiber-Optic
Locations: This position will be expected to perform duties at any customer facilities within Colorado Springs area
Rate: $95K - $115K
