Job Description:
State of Nebraska, DHHS, is searching for the next Program Specialist for PACE. Within the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care, PACE is the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, a program that helps individuals meet their health care needs in the community and remain independent.

Examples of Work
Job duties include:
Oversight of Nebraska's PACE program
Collaborate with the PACE organization and federal partners
Track new participants
Track and monitor annual certification for all PACE enrollees
Track disenrollments
Auditing of the PACE program
PACE reporting
Payments to PACE Organization
Documentation in the PACE case in the Connect database
Reviewing PACE level of car determinations.
Addressing grievances or appeals for individual PACE cases.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent coursework/training, in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare, human services or other program related field. Professional experience working in a human/social service or health care agency with responsibility for planning or evaluation services, programs or operational policies and practices may substitute in lieu of the educational requirement.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing quality assurance analysis/evaluation of programs; grant writing, contract management, or leading community-based health/social care groups.
Other: Position is located on-site at the Nebraska State Office Building in Lincoln.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Knowledge and experience with the Connect database, NFOCUS, MMIS, OnBase. Knowledge of general accounting skills. Attention to detail. Experience with the eligibility process. Skills related to auditing, customer service, interpersonal interactions with internal and external partners including state and federal entities. Skill in presenting information to groups or individuals in oral and written form, problem solving, prioritizing tasks, goal setting, and conflict resolution.
