POSITION - Union: Standard Resource Support Associate



NUMBER OF OPENINGS AVAILABLE: 1



LOCATION: CT - Orange - 100 Marsh Hill Rd



DUTIES:



  • Perform diversified duties requiring the application of various procedures and guide-lines and the use of several types of software, forms, and records.

  • Analyze service orders and other documentation (electronic and hard copy) to maximize the productivity of field technicians and overhead crews.

  • Perform routing and dispatching functions associated with the Field Automation System, ensuring the equal distribution of work to field technicians.

  • Schedule or reschedule field work, services and/or appointments with customers in response to changing work priorities.

  • Process and follow-up on customer requests for electrical services.

  • Provide Overhead Line Coaching, Customer Solution Field Technicians, System Operators, Customer Service Reps and others with specific information regarding the completion of service work, Works-in progress.

  • Perform system operations in SAP/FA such as coding, updating, verifying, comparing, calculating, maintain customer and meter records, resolution of on-line generated edits, answer telephones, radio dispatching, use of PC to transmit data and various administrative duties as directed by leaders, supervisors and other employees.

  • Work on under/over billing errors, switched meters, or corrections with supporting departments or resources.

  • Perform updates to customer accounts based on information provided by the Network Meter Reading system or manual reads.

  • Maintain files and updating customer keys or access information as required.

  • Assist in the training of personnel.

  • Exercise judgment and make decisions to determine appropriate response and actions within limits of accepted and standard practices or procedures.

  • Professional judgment and interaction required in dealing with but not limited to customers, contractors, landlords, inspectors and other agencies.

  • Referring and utilizing departmental files, records, data and follows Company policies in transmitting data or handling information.

  • Maintain files for works-in-progress to avoid unnecessary delay of work and process incoming and outgoing mail from the Client Relations Center.

  • Receive calls and/or coordinate activities with Customer Field Representatives, contractors, customers and inspectors, reporting on the status of the job request.

  • Must be able to complete all paperwork associated with Standard or Custom Solutions, temporary and all demolition orders which include but are not limited to billable work orders, receiving, logging and processing checks for temporary services, construction agreements, release sheets, demolition letters etc.

  • Must have knowledge of overhead and underground systems, including the Standard Solutions and Custom Solution operations.

  • Support the activities throughout Standard Field; including Meter engineering, RMS and Meter test.

  • Actively support and assist team members to achieve business unit's metric.

  • Work hours determined by the company to meet customer and Company needs including weekend, extended, holiday, emergency and off schedule hours.

  • May be required to perform other duties as workload fluctuates.

  • Observe all company policies, operating procedures, guidelines, safety rules and regulations.




REQUIREMENTS




Education:



  • Ability to operate PC and related equipment including and not limited to the use of word processing and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to learn SAP, Field Automation dispatching and scheduling, STORMS, reporting tools and other supporting applications.

  • Knowledge of processing and following-up on customer requests for services including meter orders, overhead and underground service orders, credit and other customer orders originating in the Customer Relations Center.




Experience:



  • Over 1 year up to and including 3 years
