Our client is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in developing and implementing comprehensive cloud automation strategies to support our cloud infrastructure team. The successful candidate will work 100% remotely, focusing on enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our cloud operations through advanced automation techniques. Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy a comprehensive cloud automation strategy to meet the team's automation requirements.


• Identify automation tools and best practices, supporting their adoption across the cloud team.


• Analyze existing cloud processes to identify areas where automation can be implemented to optimize operations.


• Support the automation needs of the cross-functional cloud infrastructure team.


• Identify and implement cloud strategies to increase self-service infrastructure deployments using cloud native services.


• Manage cloud infrastructure to ensure its availability, scalability, and security through automation.


• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud services and resources through automation.


• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation to streamline the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience preferred, with a minimum of five (5) years in cloud technologies including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other public cloud services.


• Three (3) years of experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation.


• Three (3) years of experience in Python or similar cloud scripting language, and AWS SDK (e.g., Boto3).


• Experience with automating self-service deployments using AWS cloud services (e.g., AWS Service Catalog).


• Proven ability to analyze existing processes and identify automation opportunities.


• Experience with automation reporting on cloud infrastructure services.


• Experience working in an AWS multi-account organization.


• Must hold or be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.


• At least one cloud certification at the associate level or higher in AWS is preferred.
