The Line Lead is responsible for executing reliable machine operations and ensuring shift goals are achieved in the face of changing production schedules. The Line Lead runs daily management for their shift, advocating for safety and quality in all actions while adhering to detailed work instructions. Associates in this role are expected to lead effective problem-solving actions and promote healthy communications within the department to support the manufacturing goals of the plant.
This position reports to Manufacturing team and is part of the Timonium, MD and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Act in a leadership capacity to support off-shift manufacturing and production, supporting both internal and external customers. Partner with Quality and Safety functions within the plant. Drive continuous improvement, model Core Behaviors and promote associate engagement.
Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and follow standard work, ensuring associate compliance with all company procedures and policies, including Code of Conduct, OSHA and EPA regulations within a value stream to ensure safety.
Problem-solve production-related challenges, implement projects as they are assigned to reduce costs, improve safety or improve the overall working environment. Assist in training new operators and ensure hourly scorecard completion across the shift.Update Visual Management Boards and report out on key metrics at daily tier meetings. Timely and consistent attendance, ability to work holidays and/or overtime as needed.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy/industrial manufacturing environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time. Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience with:
Mechanical aptitude/operations technician experience
PC skills
Quality Inspection
The hourly range for this role is $24.00-$25.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
