Job Title:Researcher 1Department:Pharmacy | Medicinal Chemistry

A Researcher 1 position is available in the College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. The position will focus on using state of the art AI technologies to accelerate drug discovery. This is a one-year position with an immediate start date.




Required Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience required. 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Candidates are expected to have a strong background and training (and publication record) in deep learning models and their application to biological/biomedical data analysis. Candidates should be highly motivated, open to new approaches and techniques, and be able to tackle demanding challenges.




Desired Experience: Familiarity with state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms. Coding and scripting experience (e.g. Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch). Prior experience with molecular modeling and computational drug discovery packages (e.g. NAMD, AMBER, VMD, PyEmma, UCSF Chimera, AutoDock, Schrodinger etc.).

The pay range for this job profile is $43,900 - $57,500. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
