Biomedical Equipment Technician II

Repair, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of complex medical instruments and equipment at member hospitals and clinics in Northern Maine. Provide customer support in the management of clinical technology for multiple clients.
Associate's degree in in Biomedical technology or electronics with three to four years related experience required. Valid driver's license and driver's check required. Travel between multiple sites required. Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Effective communication, customer service and computer skills required.
Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician desirable
External candidates must complete a 6 month probationary period.
Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Travel to and from worksites required, Overtime required, Position located in different city, Open to current UVM employees only , Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required
