The Clinical Research Assistant will work both independently and assist MEND2 Lab members supporting various research projects that relate to mood disorders in adolescents. The primary focus of their efforts will be on the RuMeChange and MARIS study. RuMeChange is a randomized clinical trial of youth with a history of depression. The treatment arms are rumination-focused CBT in comparison to relaxation therapy. Measurements of change include brain imaging, the rumination habit, depressive symptoms, and cognitive functioning. MARIS is a novel, multimodal, longitudinal study to test whether brain network properties during stress-induced rumination are implicated in the development of depression in a diverse sample of adolescent girls.
