Product Manager, North America - Tools and Markers Richmond, VA
Position is responsible for the strategic and tactical marketing of Weidmüller's Tools and Marker/Automated equipment products in North America. Products include Markers/Printing Systems, Professional Tools, Automated Machines and related accessories used in their deployment. Requires close working relations with Weidmüller sales force, industry managers, and distributors to offer solutions based on customer applications.
Description:
Assists and coordinates the development and execution of product marketing plans and related objectives
Works with marketing to generate product literature and marketing collateral
Develops product promotions and adverting copy
Conducts various training and webinars related to this suite of products offered in this portfolio
Provides input to Germany for product development regarding new product opportunities and markets
Researches and tracks product market share and competitive positions
Responsible for new product introductions which include Market Pricing, Product Positioning and Promotion
Conducts analysis on competition that will include features/benefits, pricing, advertising, promotion and support
Ensures thorough familiarity with and compliance to all Environmental, Safety and Security Policies while performing assigned duties in accordance with those policies
Responsible for notifying your direct supervisor, manager and/or a member of the Executive Staff of any risks associated with the Quality Management System
Actively engages with the industrial electronics industry, distributors, customers and overall market to develop and maintain the highest knowledge of market served and related applications for existing and new products
Participates in global strategic planning for the business unit organization
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, CFR 1910 OSHA) as well as Company policies and procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
Four-year undergraduate degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering or Business management with electronics experience required
Minimum of 3-4 years of product management and sales experience in the electrical or automation industries
Familiarity with Weidmüller products
Must have good oral and written communication skills
