Looking into the future and the growth, the Indirect Procurement Specialist would focus on Material group like Machines, Spare Parts, Services, Tooling, Logistics, Marketing and Facility Expenses. The Indirect Material Specialist will be responsible for managing and developing vendor sourcing strategies, monitoring vendor performance, optimizing company supplier spending and business continuity planning for all indirect spend. Review purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, and completeness and ensure they obtain additional information considered necessary.
Description:
Identifying, selecting & qualifying suppliers in accordance with WM fundamental global procurement guidelines
Planning, implementation, and management of negotiations with suppliers to determine contractual terms and conditions
Proactively identify, develop, and execute sourcing opportunities focus on cost-reductions, spend-optimization, risk mitigation, and process compliance
Establish supply agreements and develops strategic pricing, inventory, and delivery plans with major suppliers
Lead negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO & budgeted KPI's are achieved
Supplier requirements of WM departments are agreed, documented, and procurement guidelines are fulfilled
Communicate with appropriate departments to organize request and obtain supporting documentation
Manage the ongoing performance of our suppliers including objective setting and supplier evaluations were warranted
Development and maintenance of a network of relations to WM departments at project level and up to management level
Manage suppliers to improve the cost, quality, delivery and reduce risks of interruption in the supply chain, including the maintenance of approved and preferred suppliers
Skills and Qualifications:
At least 5 years of related experience in strategic procurement & sourcing in similar industrial company to WM
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with strong technical understanding and technical affinity
Experience in strategic sourcing of indirect materials and services in distribution and/or Manufacturing
Self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-orientated in a fast-paced environment
Analytical thinking and high assertiveness - analysis KPIs and initiate action plan for continuous improvement
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with strong technical understanding and technical affinity
Demonstrate knowledge and experience in procurement processes and driving business results
Problem solving experience in reducing total cost, improving processes, and reducing supplier risk
Manage multiple simultaneous tasks requiring frequent communication, time management, and critical thinking skills
