Pattern Storage Technician

Location: Grovetown, Georgia

Reports To: Pattern Shop Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts his work in a safe manner and follows company rules and policies.
• Use SAP to find and maintain pattern information to include locations of patterns and core boxes.
• Be forklift and crane certified.
• Create red tag notifications of problem patterns that require repairs or replacement.
• Review foundry schedule for conflicts.
• Review foundry work instructions, drawings and pattern inventory records to ensure proper pattern setups for combination changes and number changes.
• Move patterns and core boxes to and from the foundry and core room.
• Move patterns to and from the pattern shop.
• Assist the pattern shop with any operations requiring a forklift.
• Maintain pattern storage buildings to ensure patterns are located according to pattern inventory.
• Work with shipping to move patterns to and from offsite storage buildings or ship patterns to and from outside vendors or customers.
• Maintain records of patterns transferred.
• Repair patterns.
• Maintain housekeeping in pattern storage buildings.
• Daily safety and maintenance records of all forklifts.
• Create Big Foot work orders for any needed repairs to the forklifts.
• Any other duties assigned by pattern shop supervisor or team leader.
• Be able to use simple measuring tools, tapes, rulers etc.

Experience:

• Forklift Certified
• Wood working experience
• Attention to detail
• Interact with other departments: molding, core room, shipping
• Basic computer skills
• Industrial environments experience

Education: High school diploma

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently:

• Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping
• Lifting, pushing, and pulling <75 lbs.

• Occasionally:

• Overhead work
• Climbing ladders or stairs
• Driving forklifts
• Operating cranes
